Spurs Win and A Brief Conference Finals Preview
So I get out of the Rush only to find out that the San Antonio Spurs won game 7 in New Orleans. Excuse me while I puke in the corner.
This next part will be posted on www.411mania.com later this week, but here is a brief preview of the NBA Conference Finals.
(1) Boston Celtics vs. (2) Detroit PistonsCeltics in 7: Until the Celtics lose at home, I refuse to believe they’re losing this series. Put it this way. I think they’re gonna lose every road game again, but still come out victorious. They are a different team when they play at home. Plus, if the past has been any indication, the Pistons will once again have their own problems advancing beyond this point. I’m referencing the Flip Saunders era of course. The Celtics are a team that have had trouble matching up with the running Hawks and LeBron James. I almost think they’re better off playing a team like this since they can play a halfcourt game and not have stars to deal with.
(1) Los Angeles Lakers vs. (3) San Antonio Spurs
Lakers in 7: Anyone who knows me knows I hate the San Antonio Spurs. I believe they’ve made the NBA a very ugly league. Guys like Bruce Bowen and Robert Horry take cheap shots constantly and the referees allow this garbage to go on. I really want to see Lakers against Celtics badly since I can;t even pretend to feign interest in a Pistons/Spurs series. I also believe this Lakers team has a the maturity and a motivated enough Kobe Bryant to give the Lake show the advantage. Expect another tough series for both teams though.
