Rush In a Must Win…Sort Of
You never want to say a team that’s 9-3 and has clinched the Central Division is in a must-win, but with four games remaining, the Rush need to gain momentum before the playoffs. Also, in order for them to gain homefield, they must win two more games, have the San Jose Sabercats lose two games or some sort of combination.
The Brigade upset the Philadelphia Soul last Thursday and would love to upset the Rush because it would not only be two consecutive victories against high-profile teams, but would put them in prime position to get into the postseason.
Russ Michna, who had his worst game as a starter, must also rebound so he can send a statement of his own. It’s easy to be on a hot streak and cruise along. But after that first bad game, we’ll have to see how well he recovers. The Chicago Rush could also send a message of their own by going undefeated within their own division, something that should not be taken lightly.
